Our Practice

In 2012, Mark Caporaso, DVM opened Grady Animal Hospital with the goal of providing affordable, comprehensive care to companion animals in need. The small-town country feel is what Dr. Caporaso, or as most people call him Dr. Mark or Doc, envisioned for his practice. At Grady Animal Hospital, all clients are treated equally, an animal in need is never turned away, and our caring veterinary team practices with honesty and the highest integrity.

Dr. Mark prides himself in treating our clients and their pets as part of the family. Whether your pet needs a simple wellness exam, surgery, or one of our many other services, they will receive the top-notch care they deserve at Grady Animal Hospital.

Our practice sits on the site of the iconic Lamplighter restaurant. In its day, the Lamplighter was a meeting place for local residents. Dr. Mark felt it was important to honor the legacy of the Lamplighter as it holds fond memories for many in the community. When stepping into the lobby at Grady, you can view the original sign that hung outside of the Lamplighter as well as the beautiful lamppost that stands proudly in front of our building. An original cabinet from the restaurant serves as the coffee cart in our waiting room. Oftentimes, clients relay stories to us of the good times they spent at the Lamplighter. Much like the Lamplighter, Grady Animal Hospital has become an important part of the community and a place where you are likely to run into a neighbor and their pet.

For those of you who are already part of the Grady family, we thank you for entrusting us with the care of your beloved pet. It is because of your continued support that Grady Animal Hospital is the success it is today. We look forward to continuing our relationship for years to come.
